I was recently named a Finalist for the prestigious national award of being named a top 30 Realtor in the country under the age of 30 for the year 2012. Next week I will find out if I made the top 30. If I make the top 30 I will be featured in the National Real Estate Magazine.

Here is some information that is currently on the website: Most agents look for that secret idea for success, but sticking with the basics is the real answer. $3,000 Grant Available For First Time Home Buyers

There is currently a tax credit available for first time home buyers to receive a $3,000 grant. I just had a buyer of mine get this when they closed on their home a couple weeks ago. When the grant $ is out this offer will not be available. Give me a call and I can give you more information about it.

Hows The Market? The question I get asked almost everywhere I go. The truth is...it has really improved. We are busy even in January. There are still buyers in the market. Interest rates remain at record lows and inventory is down.

Four years after the housing markets bubble burst, recession-weary consumers no longer need to be wary about the prospects of home ownership.

There has never been a better time to buy a home, despite the doom and gloom media headlines that still linger in the recessions wake and otherwise cloud an upbeat housing market.

Beyond the grim headlines, there are plenty of positive signs that the current housing market is on the rebound: competitive home prices, record low interest rates, and lots of inventory.

Lower home prices and interest rates combine to provide prospective buyers with substantial savings both in monthly payments and over the life of a loan.

What is the VALUE of Your Home? Let me provide you with a comparative market Analysis. A Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) is an evaluation of similar homes in an area also known as comparables to determine the current market value of a home. Real estate agents, on behalf of buyers and sellers, perform a CMA to determine your home's value. Thanks for Making 2012 so Great!

Thank you for making 2012 such a great year! I was fortunate enough to help 70 families buy and sell Real Estate all across West Michigan. Some of these buyers moved on the Lake, a few sellers I worked with moved away from the lake, while many of the buyers I worked with were taking advantage of the low interest rates. From First time home buyers to relocation sellers I really enjoyed working with all of you.

During the year I was able to make 100+ referral recommendations to local businesses, and have a goal to reach over 150 in 2013. Thank you also for your confidence in my business as I received over 40 referrals from friends, family and past clients.

In February I plan to add a buyer agent to continue growth and to provide even better service to my clients in Holland, Zeeland, West Olive, Grand Haven, Hamilton, Hudsonville and surrounding West Michigan Cities!

Do Not Ignore The Costs Of Maintaining Your Property

Maintaining your property in good condition can be an expensive affair. Painting your property regularly, taking care of the exteriors, repairing seepage and leakages inside, redesigning the interiors, and improving the aesthetics of the property can cost you a lot of money. But if you keep up on the projects you will avoid having even larger expenses when you have to re-do the whole thing. Of course, you have the option of staggering all these expenses over a period of time but you cannot avoid them. Keep this fact in mind when you are purchasing property. The fact that you can purchase your own property will create expectations. Be prepared to spend more money towards maintenance once you become the owner of your own home or apartment. If you are selling your home I often say, You will either pay for the repairs when you are living in the home, or when you sell.
