OurStreet Program in Holland Michigan
Ourstreet in Holland Michigan is a "Home Purchase Rehabilitation program" for the area located from 13th to 19th street, and from Lincoln to Harrison.
The Home Purchase Rehabilitation Program is to help low to moderate income families become home owners, to improve housing stock in central Holland, and to target foreclosed homes, so that area homes are occupied.
The rehabilitation program could offer up to $20,000 for renovations and up to $10,000 for addressing lead based paint hazards. The program could also provide a down payment assistance that would give up to $10,000 to the home buyer for closing.
There are a number of qualifications that need to be met to qualify for the rehabilitation program, but it is a great opportunity to improve the area and your home.
Families who are eligible for the rehabilitation program are either given the resources or are connected with groups who can help them. With the program homes in the areas have been able to hold their value. Contact me at 616-502-8897 for more information.
Giving your house a new coat of paint is a great way to make a real change, inside and out. Done right, a new paint job can turn your faded house into a beautiful, calming place you can really call home. It can also have a positive effect on your mood when you come from a long days work. Your home should be a haven, a place you can relax from the hustle of the outside world. Here are some tips to successfully choose the right colors for your home.
Choose your colors after everything else.
After you haveve chosen your furniture, flooring, and drapes, choose your paint colors. You do not want to pick out a bright yellow color for your living room walls and then try to match it with your drapes. It is much easier the other way around, and you will be much happier with the results.
Take home a pint of paint. If you want to choose the right color, take home a pint of paint from the store, even if you end up buying five to 10 different color pints of paint. Those color swatches that you see in the store just don not cut it. Paint becomes a bit darker over time, especially if you have to paint on a few coats. You do not want to end up picking a too dark of a green based on a color swatch.
Follow your own tastes. Even though it is fine to listen to other peoples advice, make the final decision based upon your own likes and dislikes. Nothing is worse than living with a purple bedroom if you really do not like the color but your neighbor talked you into it. You are the one that has to live with the color everyday, not your friendly neighbor.
Do not go overboard. If you love pink, do not paint everything that color. It is good for a bathroom or a girls room, but not the whole house. It can get old real fast. If you really want to add your favorite color throughout the house, then choose different shades of pink or buy some pink pillows or other accessories. For example, a pink floor mat in the master bathroom can add real color to an otherwise white, non-descript room.

In Hudsonville Michigan during the month of June there were 34 sales, while in Hamilton there was only 4 sales.
In West Olive there were 5 sales during the month.
In Grand Rapids there were 295 residential sales during the month.
In the cities of Douglas & Saugatuck there were 7 sales.
