What to Expect When Exploring Holland

The Holland beaches and shoreline are a big draw and is where many of the resident spend their free time. The culture in Holland is rich and diverse and is welcoming to contributing citizens.

Downtown is an amazing compilation of shop, galleries and great eats. You can walk almost anywhere in town with the miles of sidewalks and boardwalks inHolland. If you haven’t already walked enough you can go on to check out the 500 acres of public parks. You most likely won’t want to stop exploring as Forbes magazine listed Holland as one of the 15 prettiest towns in America.

Are you out going and ready to get into some activities? There are tons of different things to do in Holland. It doesn’t matter what age you are or what you like to do. This is plenty for everyone. With Lake Michigan so easily accessible there is plenty of water sports and boating to enjoy.

You can get your kids involved in school sports or youth sports leagues and if you want to get involved yourself then you can join an adult sports program. As the winter season comes and the snow moves in there is plenty of skating, sledding and skiing available for your enjoyment. For those of you that like to stay inside during the chilling times there is plenty of time to go to the Holland Outlet Center Mall and get some goodies.

If you want more activity just check out Tulip time in Holland. It is one of the biggest and favorite festivals in Michigan. Within the first weeks of May there are hundreds of thousands of beautiful tulips that bloom for your enjoyment. People come from all over the country and the world to see this amazing display. This is a great way to experience traditional Dutch culture. During the festival there will be a carnival, a bike race, a 5k run and more.

Learning in Holland

Hope College is an amazing crown in the Holland education realm. This private four-year liberal arts college has a great science program. It also has a national accreditation in art, theater, dance and music.

Health in Holland

There are a variety of services which are offered at Holland Hospital. This includes inpatient and outpatient services. Holland Hospital is a 193 bed hospital and is one of the top rated hospitals along the lakeshore. The fresh produce available all year around helps with your health. The farmer’s market is one of the top places for people in the area to shop.

How Do You Get Around in Holland?

Getting around in Holland is very easy. There is the airport, public bus system and of course the Amtrack. If you are looking to commute to Chicago you can easily get there fromHolland. When you want to get around town you can walk the many sidewalks and boardwalks. Cars are optional in Holland.

What Are Economics Like In Holland?
