Earlier we posted an article on Facebook outlining 5 questions you should ask your Realtor. Not only does The Luke Bouman Team offer those 5 important elements, but our team also provides further ways we can of benefit to you. Following are additional questions to ask a potential Realtor, all of which The Luke Bouman Team offers.

1. Are you and/or your team professionally coached?

When looking at anyone who is successful and excelling at what they do, more often than not, they are coached. Whether it be sports or business, behind every excelling professional there is usually a mentor or coach that is helping them on the backend. They are experienced third party advisors that offer advice, training, and ways to further develop in their field. They hold their mentees accountable, and help set goals and ways to accomplish them. Coaches push their clients to be the best and become better.

2. Are you and/or your team professionally trained in negotiations, specifically in multiple offer situations?

Negotiations in real estate are vital to selling and buying a home. Many Realtors will tell you that they are experienced in negotiations, but have they been specifically trained in this area? Being professionally trained in negotiations places your Realtor in position that can make the difference in getting the most for selling your home, or attaining the home you desire to buy. This becomes even more important when there are multiple offers on a home. Having professional training in this area, not just experience, will provide a huge advantage over someone represented by a Realtor who has experience without the professional training.

3. Are you working with a Realtor and/or team that devotes all of their working time to showing homes?

Many Realtors are both listing agents and buying agents. This means that they both list homes and they take buyers on showings. Our team provides you an agent that is dedicated solely to showing homes. This means they focus all of their training and attention on showing homes and negotiations for individuals buying homes. Additionally most Realtors are also responsible for marketing, listing coordinating, client follow-up, transaction coordination, setting up inspections, setting up appraisals, and many other details that are involved in the buying and selling process. Our team offers a Realtor that has support staff to handle the details so they can focus on finding, showing, and negotiating for your future home.

4. Can your Realtor get you in to see a home quickly and in a timeframe that is required dependent on the current market?

In the market today, homes are selling quickly. Often, this means that if a home is put on the market, you will want to go through it that same day to make sure it doesn't sell before you even have a chance to see it. Our team includes a number of buying agents that work together. This means that if your personal buyer agent is already scheduled to show a different home, they will have one of their team members show you the home. This alone can be the deal breaker between getting or losing out on your future home.
