Fall is officially here! Days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder, but the residential real
estate market is still warm and steady. Active listings in North Holland boasted an increase of 20% over
last month and 74% over this time last year. This quarter there were 476 active listings compared to 357
for the 3rd quarter of 2014. The 2nd quarter of this year had 342 active listings. This is an increase of 39%
compared to this quarter. Over the course of the year, 499 homes have sold in North Holland with an
average of 77 days on market. These homes have sold for an average of 97.7% list-to-sale price.
South Holland saw a slight drop in active and new listings this month. South Holland actually had a 5%
decrease in active listings compared to last month, however it was still up 34% over last year. The 3rd
quarter also boasted a 36% increase over the 3rd Quarter of 2014 and a 38% increase over the 2nd
Quarter of 2015. Currently, South Holland has 155 active listings and 521 homes sold for the year.
Homes in this area have an average of 94 days on market with a 97.4% average list-to-sale price.
Zeeland also saw a slight drop in active listings this month with a 6.5% decrease from last month.
Despite this decrease, Zeeland managed to increase 36% over last year and 16% over last quarter. Also,
Zeeland saw an increase of 31% over the 3rd Quarter of 2014. Currently, this area has 57 active listings
for sale. So far this year, 288 homes have been sold in Zeeland with an average of 98.4% list-to-sale
Overall, the number of active listings for North Holland, South Holland and Zeeland continues to
improve upon the preceding year’s numbers. Despite two of the markets having slightly less active
listings than the preceding month, the numbers are still mostly trending upward. So, if you or someone
