When you come in the fall the weather will be a bit cooler but the beautiful colors all around will make you appreciate Muskegonin a new way. There is still plenty of time in the fall to enjoy the 3 state parks and 8 county parks with plenty of camping spots available.

The winter time is very fun if you don’t mind the dropping temperatures. You can learn to snow shoe, ski and skate. There are miles of lighted trails in the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex for your outdoor enjoyment.

Most of the schools in Muskegonhave a great rating. There are 20 preschools, 37 elementary schools, 21 middle schools, and 16 high schools. 44 of these schools are public, 28 are private and 6 of them are charter schools.

Transportation in Muskegon

Muskegon has a county airport, lake-express cross lake ferry service and the Muskegon area transit service. The MATS has daily bus service and services include senior transit, disabled persons and trolley service.
